2. Description and use of the Service

The Service advertises for rent a Mallorcan country house known as Sa Mata Grossa, dating from 1650, restored in the 1990s using fine materials and bringing beauty and comfort without losing the essence of the island.

Set on a plot of 40,000 m² near Búger, renting it allows guests to enjoy the house and its grounds, in surroundings that produce carob, figs, almonds and oranges.

7. Data protection

7.1. Information collected

The personal and non-personal information collected will vary depending on how you use the website and its features.

It reaches us in three ways: 1) collected automatically, 2) provided voluntarily by you, and 3) provided by third parties.

7.1.1. Data collected automatically

  • Data collected through cookies or similar mechanisms stored on your device, always with your consent. See our Cookie Policy for more information.
  • The IP address from which the connection is made, the type of device used and its characteristics, the operating system version, browser type, language, date, country, time of the request, the referring URL or the mobile network used, among others.

  • Data required to complete the service and subsequently make the booking and issue the corresponding invoice: name or company name, email address, address, telephone number, requested dates, tax and bank details.

If you book a service on behalf of another person, you warrant that you obtained their personal information lawfully before providing it to us.

7.1.3. Data provided by third parties

Information provided by social networks or instant messaging services.

7.2. Your rights

Completing the forms is voluntary. However, if you do not fill in the required fields (marked with an asterisk) the use of some features of the site will not be possible or will be limited.

The personal data you provide will be incorporated into and processed in files owned by the Service, in order to attend to your requests.

You may at any time exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection and portability of your personal data by email to samatagrossa@gmail.com or by post to: C/ Creu, 43, 1 esq, 07420 Sa Pobla, Illes Balears, Spain.

In both cases you must identify yourself with your full name and, if necessary, a copy of your national ID document.

Where you have given consent for a specific purpose, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

If you believe there is a problem with the way we handle your data, you may address your complaint to the relevant data protection authority, which in Spain is the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).

The Service may also use users' personal and non-personal information in aggregated, anonymous form to show it to third parties. None of this will allow those third parties to identify you personally.

The Service does not use automated individual decision-making.

7.3.1. In emails and contact forms

The personal data collected will be processed automatically and incorporated into the corresponding activity record files owned by the Service.

We will receive your IP address, which will be used to check the origin of the message and to detect possible irregularities, as well as data relating to your internet service provider.

7.3.2. On social networks

We have profiles on some of the main social networks, and the Service is the data controller in relation to the data published on them.

Such data will be processed as the social network permits for corporate profiles. We never extract data from social networks unless the user's specific and express consent has been obtained.

7.4. Data retention

  • Aggregated data will be kept with no deletion deadline.
  • Customer data will be kept for the minimum necessary, and may be retained for up to 5 years under article 1964 of the Spanish Civil Code, or 6 years under article 30 of the Commercial Code.
  • User data uploaded by the Service to social network pages and profiles will be kept from the moment the user gives consent until it is withdrawn.

8. Service providers and others

Third parties manage part of the Service. The Service requires them to comply with these Terms of Use and Privacy insofar as they apply, and they must also have their own.

In some circumstances the Service may share, use, preserve or disclose personal information with third parties on a non-aggregated basis: to provide the Service (web hosting or development providers, who are not permitted to use the information for any other purpose) and to cooperate with the competent authorities where reasonably necessary, providing only the information strictly required.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is not liable for: a) errors or omissions in the contents; b) the unavailability of the website; or c) the transmission of malicious software in the contents, despite having adopted all reasonable technological measures to prevent it.

10. Changes

11. Cookies

See our Cookie Policy to find out how we use them.

12. Security measures

The Service adopts all necessary technical and organisational measures to protect the security and integrity of the personal and non-personal information collected, both against unauthorised access and against its accidental alteration, loss or destruction.

In any case, the Service cannot guarantee the absolute security of the information collected, so you should cooperate and use common sense at all times regarding the information you share.
